Oregon Children's Theatre is a non-profit professional theatre company now in its 16th season. The company produces three productions each year. Performances are held weekdays for school audiences and on weekends for public/family audiences. OCT serves over 80,000 children of all ages each year. OCT boasts an extensive outreach program targeted to economically deserving and culturally diverse children and families. Oregon Children's Theatre's Acting Academy offers year-round acting classes for children ages 5-17. A Resident Company of the Portland Center for the Performing Arts, OCT is also a member of Theatre Communication Group, Arts Alliance, Portland Oregon Visitors Association and ASSITEJ (an international children's theatre association).
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 503-228-9571. The 2003-2004 season is sponsored by Oregon Public Broadcasting and K103/KEX. The Velveteen Rabbit is sponsored by Nordstrom. Funding is provided in part by the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC).
